Strī-satkāra (On honoring women) — Mahābhārata 13.46
कुर्वाणं हि नरं कर्म पापं रहसि सर्वदा | पश्यन्ति ऋतवश्वापि तथा दिननिशे<प्युत,एकान्तमें पापकर्म करते हुए पुरुषको ऋतुएँ तथा रात-दिन सदा देखते रहते हैं
kurvāṇaṃ hi naraṃ karma pāpaṃ rahasi sarvadā | paśyanti ṛtavaś cāpi tathā dinaniśe 'py uta ||
વિપુલ બોલ્યો—માણસ ગોપનમાં પાપકર્મ કરે તોય તે કદી અદૃશ્ય નથી; ઋતુઓ અને દિવસ-રાત પણ સદા તેને જોતા રહે છે. સમય અને જગતની વ્યવસ્થામાં છુપાયેલો અધર્મ પણ સાક્ષી વિના રહેતો નથી.
