Viśvāmitra-janma: Ṛcīka–Satyavatī–Gādhi and the Charu Exchange (विश्वामित्र-जन्म: ऋचीक–सत्यवती–गाधि वृत्तान्तः)
क्षत्रियं तूग्रकर्माणं त्वं भद्रे जनयिष्यसि । नहि ते तत् कृतं साधु मातृस्नेहेन भाविनि
kṣatriyaṃ tūgrakarmāṇaṃ tvaṃ bhadre janayiṣyasi | nahi te tat kṛtaṃ sādhu mātṛsnehena bhāvini ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—હે શુભે! તું ઉગ્ર કર્મ કરનાર ક્ષત્રિયને જન્મ આપશે. ભાવિની, માતૃસ્નેહના મોહમાં તું જે કર્યું તે પ્રશંસનીય નથી. તું અને તારી માતાએ જે અદલા-બદલી કરી છે, તેના કારણે તારી માતા બ્રાહ્મણ-ભાગ્યે નિર્ધારિત ઉત્તમ પુત્રને જન્મ આપશે, અને તું ભયંકર કર્મો કરનાર યોદ્ધાની જનની બનશે.
