Viśvāmitra-janma: Ṛcīka–Satyavatī–Gādhi and the Charu Exchange
tataḥ satyavatī hṛṣṭā mātaraṃ pratyabhāṣata | yad ṛcīkena kathitaṃ tac cācakhyau carūn ubhayam ||
The verse highlights dharma in the form of faithful communication and careful observance of ritual instructions: sacred guidance received from a sage should be conveyed accurately, and ritual preparations (like distinct caru portions) must be handled with precision and integrity.
Satyavatī, pleased by what she has learned, goes to her mother and reports Ṛcīka’s words. She also mentions the two separately prepared caru offerings intended for each of them, setting up the next developments tied to those ritual portions.
