स्त्रीस्वभावप्रश्नः — Nārada and Pañcacūḍā on Strī-svabhāva
Anuśāsana-parva 38
न चान्यदिह कर्तव्यं किज्चिदूर्ध्व यथाविधि । गुप्तो गोपायते ब्रह्मा श्रेयो वस्तेन शोभनम्
bhīṣma uvāca | na cānyad iha kartavyaṃ kiñcid ūrdhvaṃ yathāvidhi | gupto gopāyate brahmā śreyo vastena śobhanam ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું— અહીં યથાવિધિ જે વિહિત છે તેનાથી પરે બીજું કશું કરવાનું નથી. બ્રાહ્મણનું રક્ષણ કરાય તો તે પણ પોતાના રક્ષકનું રક્ષણ કરે છે; તેમાં જ સાચું શ્રેય અને શુભ સમાયેલું છે. તેથી વિધાનુસાર ચાલનારાઓ માટે સ્વધર્મનું પાલન અને બ્રાહ્મણોની રક્ષા-સેવા જ પરમ કલ્યાણનું કારણ છે.
