पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
यद् ब्राह्मणमुखात् प्राप्तं प्रतिगृह्लन्ति वै वच: । भूतात्मानो महात्मानस्ते न यान्ति पराभवम्
yad brāhmaṇamukhāt prāptaṁ pratigṛhlanti vai vacaḥ | bhūtātmāno mahātmānas te na yānti parābhavam ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—જે મહાત્માઓ સર્વ પ્રાણીઓ પ્રત્યે એકાત્મભાવ ધરાવે છે, તેઓ બ્રાહ્મણના મુખમાંથી આવેલ વચનને પ્રમાણ માની સ્વીકારે છે. એવા પુરુષ પરાભવ કે વિનાશ પામતા નથી; કારણ કે તેઓ અહંકાર કે આવેગ નહીં, પરંતુ ધર્મસંમત માર્ગદર્શન પસંદ કરે છે.
