युधिष्ठिरप्रश्नः—विश्वामित्रस्य ब्राह्मणत्वकौतूहलम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry on Viśvāmitra’s Attainment of Brāhmaṇya
ध्रुवस्यौत्तानपादस्य ब्रद्मर्षीणां तथैव च । मध्यं ज्वलति यो नित्यमुदीचीमाश्रितो दिशम्
dhruvasyauttānapādasya brahmarṣīṇāṁ tathaiva ca | madhyaṁ jvalati yo nityam udīcīm āśrito diśam ||
યુધિષ્ઠિરે કહ્યું—ઉત્તાનપાદનો પુત્ર ધ્રુવ, જે ઉત્તર દિશાના આકાશમાં બ્રહ્મર્ષિઓ (સપ્તર્ષિઓ)ની વચ્ચે તારારૂપે સદૈવ પ્રકાશિત રહે છે, તે તો ક્ષત્રિય જ રહ્યો. કુરુનંદન! તેના આ તથા અન્ય અનેક અદ્ભુત કર્મો સ્મરીને મારા હૃદયમાં કૌતૂહલ ઊભું થયું છે—તે બ્રાહ્મણ કેવી રીતે ગણાયો?
