मेरो: समुद्रस्य च सर्वयत्नै: संख्योपलानामुदकस्य वापि | शक्यं वक्तुं नेह गड़ाजलानां गुणाख्यानं परिमातुं तथैव

Transliteration

meroḥ samudrasya ca sarvayatnaiḥ saṅkhyopalānām udakasya vāpi | śakyaṃ vaktuṃ neha gaṅgājalānāṃ guṇākhyānaṃ parimātuṃ tathaiva ||

Translation

સિદ્ધે કહ્યું—સર્વ પ્રકારના પ્રયત્નો કરવાથી મેરુગિરિના કંકર-પથ્થરોની સંખ્યા અને સમુદ્રના જળબિંદુઓની ગણતરી પણ કહી શકાય; પરંતુ અહીં ગંગાજળના ગુણોનું વર્ણન અને પરિમાણ કરવું કદી શક્ય નથી.
