मातङ्ग–शक्रसंवादः
Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
शिलवृत्तिस्तु यत् कृत्यं प्रातस्तत् कृतवान् शुचि: । कृतकृत्यमुपातिष्ठत् सिद्ध तमतिथिं तदा
Bhīṣma uvāca: śīlavṛttis tu yat kṛtyaṃ prātas tat kṛtavān śuciḥ | kṛtakṛtyam upātiṣṭhat siddham atithiṃ tadā ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—પ્રભાતે શીલવૃત્તિ ધરાવતો તે ગૃહસ્થ સ્નાનાદિ કરીને શુચિ બની પ્રાતઃકાળના નિત્યકર્મમાં પ્રવૃત્ત થયો. નિત્યકર્મ પૂર્ણ કરીને તે સિદ્ધ અતિથિની સેવા માટે ઉપસ્થિત થયો; એ દરમિયાન અતિથિએ પણ સ્નાન-પૂજન વગેરે જરૂરી પ્રાતઃકૃત્યો પૂર્ણ કરી લીધાં હતાં।
