यह तीर्थ-सेवनका कार्य परम पवित्र, पुण्यप्रद, स्वर्गकी प्राप्तिका सर्वोत्तम साधन और वेदोंका गुप्त रहस्य है। प्रत्येक तीर्थ पावन और स्नानके योग्य होता है ।।
idaṃ dadyād dvijātīnāṃ sādhōr ātma-hitasya ca | suhṛdāṃ ca japet karṇe śiṣyasyānugatasya ca ||
તીર્થસેવનનું આ કાર્ય પરમ પવિત્ર, પુણ્યપ્રદ, સ્વર્ગપ્રાપ્તિનું અનુત્તમ સાધન અને વેદોનું ગુપ્ત રહસ્ય છે; દરેક તીર્થ પાવન અને સ્નાનયોગ્ય છે. આ તીર્થમાહાત્મ્ય દ્વિજાતિઓને, આત્મહિત ઇચ્છતા સાધુ પુરુષને, સુહૃદોને તથા અનુગત શિષ્યના કાનમાં જ ગોપ્ય રીતે જપીને કહેવું જોઈએ.
