Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
नान्यत्र ब्राह्मणोश्रीयात् पूर्व विप्रेण केतित: । यवीयान् पशुहिंसायां तुल्यधर्मो भवेत् स हि
nānyatra brāhmaṇośrīyāt pūrvaṁ vipreṇa ketitaḥ | yavīyān paśuhiṁsāyāṁ tulyadharmo bhavet sa hi ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—જો કોઈ બ્રાહ્મણને પહેલેથી જ બીજા બ્રાહ્મણે શ્રાદ્ધ માટે આમંત્રિત કર્યો હોય, તો આમંત્રિત બ્રાહ્મણે બીજી જગ્યાએ જઈને ભોજન ન કરવું જોઈએ. જો તે એવું કરે, તો તે હીન ગણાય છે અને તેને પશુહિંસા સમાન દોષ (પાપ) લાગે છે.
