अहिंसयित्वा ब्रह्महत्याविधानम् / Brahmahatyā incurred without physical violence
गामश्चृ वित्तमन्नं वा तद्विधे प्रतिपादयेत् । द्रव्याणि चान्यानि तथा प्रेत्यभावे न शोचति
gām aśvaṁ vittam annaṁ vā tadvidhe pratipādayet | dravyāṇi cānyāni tathā pretyabhāve na śocati ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—યોગ્ય પાત્રને ગાયો, ઘોડો, ધન, અન્ન તથા અન્ય દ્રવ્યો અર્પણ કરવા જોઈએ. આ રીતે સુવિનિયોગથી કરેલું દાન દાતાને મૃત્યુ પછી પશ્ચાત્તાપમાં નાખતું નથી; સુપાત્રમાં કરેલું દાન પરલોકના શોકથી રક્ષા કરે છે અને ધર્મની પ્રતિષ્ઠા સ્થાપે છે.
