Aṣṭāvakra and the Woman: Disclosure, Permission, and Marital Resolution (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय २२)
आश्चर्य परम हीदं कि नु श्रेयो हि मे भवेत् । दिव्याभरणवत्त्रा हि कन्येयं मामुपस्थिता
āścaryaṁ parama hīdaṁ ki nu śreyo hi me bhavet | divyābharaṇavastrā hi kanyeyaṁ mām upasthitā ||
અષ્ટાવક્ર બોલ્યા—આ તો પરમ આશ્ચર્ય છે! આમાંથી મને કયું કલ્યાણ થશે? દિવ્ય વસ્ત્રો અને આભૂષણોથી શોભિત આ કન્યા મારી સેવામાં ઉપસ્થિત છે. જે પહેલાં વૃદ્ધા હતી, તે જ હવે કન્યારૂપે સામે આવી છે—આ મહાવિસ્મય છે. શું આ મારા માટે શુભકારક થશે?
