Anuśāsana-parva 17
लोकपालोडन््तर्तितात्मा प्रसादो हयगर्दभि: । पवित्र च महांश्नैव नियमो नियमाश्रित:
lokapālo ’ntarhitātmā prasādo hayagardabhiḥ | pavitraṃ ca mahāṃś caiva niyamo niyamāśritaḥ ||
વાયુદેવે કહ્યું— તે લોકનો રક્ષક છે, અદૃશ્ય સ્વરૂપે ગતિ કરનાર, સદા પ્રસન્ન કૃપાશાંતિથી પરિપૂર્ણ. તે ઘોડા અને ખચ્ચર જોડાયેલા રથ પર વિહરે છે. તે પવિત્ર અને મહાપૂજ્ય છે; શૌચ, સંતોષ વગેરે નિયમોના પાલનથી તે પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે, અને એ નિયમોનો આધાર તથા આશ્રય પણ તે જ છે.
