बलवांश्वोपशान्तश्न पुराण: पुण्यचज्चुरी । कुरुकर्ता कुरुवासी कुरुभूतो गुणीषध:
balavān śvopaśāntaś ca purāṇaḥ puṇyacakṣuḥ | īśaḥ kurukartā kuruvāsī kurubhūto guṇauṣadhaḥ ||
વાયુદેવે કહ્યું—તે બલવાન અને સંપૂર્ણ શાંત છે; આદિપુરુષ છે; પુણ્ય દ્વારા જ ઓળખાય એવો ધર્મ-નેત્ર સમાન છે; કરુણામય પ્રભુ—કુરુક્ષેત્રનો કર્તા, કુરુક્ષેત્રમાં નિવાસ કરનાર, અને કુરુક્ષેત્ર-સ્વરૂપ જ; તેમજ જ્ઞાન-વૈરાગ્ય વગેરે ગુણો ઉત્પન્ન કરનાર ઔષધિ સમાન છે.
