च्यवन उवाच न चेत्‌ करिष्यसि वचो मयोक्तं बलसूदन । मया प्रमथित: सद्यः सोमं पास्यसि वै मखे

Transliteration

cyavana uvāca | na cet kariṣyasi vaco mayoktaṃ balasūdana | mayā pramathitaḥ sadyaḥ somaṃ pāsyasi vai makhe ||

Translation

ચ્યવન બોલ્યા—હે બલસૂદન! જો તું મારી કહેલી વાત નહીં કરે, તો હું તારો અહંકાર ચૂર કરી દઈશ; અને આ યજ્ઞમાં જ તું તત્કાળ સોમપાન કરવા મજબૂર થશ.
