Shloka 7
स वरैश्छन्दितस्तेन नूपो वचनमत्रवीत् । सहस्रबाहुर्भूयां वै चमूमध्ये गृहेडन्यथा
sa varaiś chanditas tena nūpo vacanam abravīt | sahasrabāhur bhūyāṃ vai camūmadhye gṛhe ’nyathā ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—તે ઋષિએ વર માંગવા પ્રેર્યા ત્યારે રાજાએ કહ્યું—“યુદ્ધમાં, સેનાના મધ્યમાં, હું સહસ્રબાહુ થાઉં; પરંતુ ઘરમાં અન્યથા, એટલે દ્વિભુજ જ રહું. રણભૂમિમાં બધા સૈનિકો મારી હજાર ભુજાઓ જુએ.”
