सर्वभूतदया धर्मो न चैकग्रामवासिता । आशापाशविमोक्षश्न शस्यते मोक्षकाड्क्षिणाम्‌

Transliteration

sarvabhūtadayā dharmo na caikagrāmavāsitā | āśāpāśavimokṣaś ca śasyate mokṣakāṅkṣiṇām ||

Translation

મહેશ્વરે કહ્યું—મોક્ષની ઇચ્છા ધરાવનાર માટે સર્વ પ્રાણીઓ પર દયા કરવી એ જ ધર્મ છે. તેમને એક જ ગામમાં કે એક જ ઠેકાણે બંધાઈને રહેવું ન જોઈએ; અને આશા તથા તૃષ્ણાના પાશ તોડવા પ્રયત્ન કરવો જોઈએ. મુમુક્ષુઓ માટે આ જ પ્રશંસનીય આચરણ છે.
