अवर्षति च पर्जन्ये सर्वभूतानि देवराट् । वसिष्ठो जीवयामास येन यातो$क्षयां गतिम्
avarṣati ca parjanye sarvabhūtāni devarāṭ | vasiṣṭho jīvayāmāsa yena yāto 'kṣayāṃ gatim ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું— જ્યારે વરસાદ ન પડ્યો અને સર્વ પ્રાણીઓ દુઃખિત થયા, ત્યારે મુનિવર વસિષ્ઠે તેમને જીવનદાન આપીને જીવંત કર્યા; એ પુણ્યથી તેમણે અક્ષય ગતિ પ્રાપ્ત કરી।
