भीष्म उवाच ब्राह्मणा ब्राह्मणस्येह भोज्या ये चैव क्षत्रिया: । वैश्याश्चापि तथा भोज्या: शूद्राश्न॒ परिवर्जिता:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | brāhmaṇā brāhmaṇasyeha bhojyā ye caiva kṣatriyāḥ | vaiśyāś cāpi tathā bhojyāḥ śūdrāśn̥aḥ parivarjitāḥ ||

Translation

ભીષ્મે કહ્યું— વત્સ! આ લોકમાં બ્રાહ્મણને બ્રાહ્મણ, ક્ષત્રિય અને વૈશ્યના ઘરમાં અન્ન ગ્રહણ કરવું યોગ્ય છે; શૂદ્રના ઘરમાં ભોજન કરવું તેના માટે વર્જ્ય છે.
