एवं लोकेष्वहिंसा तु निर्दिष्टा धर्मत: पुरा । जैसे हाथीके पैरके चिह्ममें सभी पदगामी प्राणियोंके पदचिह्न समा जाते हैं
Translation
આ રીતે પૂર્વકાળમાં લોકોમાં ધર્મરૂપે અહિંસાનો નિર્દેશ કરવામાં આવ્યો છે—જેમ હાથીના પગલાના નિશાનમાં બધા પગપાળા પ્રાણીઓના પગલાં સમાઈ જાય છે, તેમ અહિંસા-ધર્મમાં સર્વ ધર્મોનો સમાવેશ માનવામાં આવે છે.
