धर्म हि श्रेय इत्याहुरिति धर्मविदो जना: । बड़ा भाई अच्छा काम करनेवाला हो या बुरा

Transliteration

dharma hi śreya ity āhur iti dharmavido janāḥ |

Translation

ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—ધર્મ જાણનારા કહે છે, ‘ધર્મ જ પરમ કલ્યાણ છે.’ તેથી મોટો ભાઈ સારો કરે કે ખરાબ, નાનાએ તેનો અપમાન ન કરવો જોઈએ. અને જો પત્ની અથવા નાનો ભાઈ કુમાર્ગે ચાલે, તો શ્રેષ્ઠ પુરુષે જે ઉપાયથી તેમની ભલાઈ અને સુધારો થાય તે જ ઉપાય કરવો; કારણ કે ધર્મને જ કલ્યાણનું સર્વોત્તમ સાધન કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે.
