भीष्म उवाच अन्न ते वर्तयिष्यामि शृणु राजन्‌ यथाक्रमम्‌ । ऋषीणां वदतां पूर्व श्रुतमासीत्‌ यथा पुरा

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | anna te vartayiṣyāmi śṛṇu rājan yathākramam | ṛṣīṇāṃ vadatāṃ pūrvaṃ śrutam āsīt yathā purā ||

Translation

ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—હે રાજન, હવે હું આ વિષયને ક્રમસર કહું છું; ધ્યાનપૂર્વક સાંભળો. પ્રાચીન કાળે ઋષિઓ બોલતા હતા ત્યારે મેં જેમ સાંભળ્યું હતું, તેમ જ તમને કહું છું.
