अयःकणपचक्राश्मभुशुण्ड्युद्यतबाहव: । कृष्णपार्थो जिघांसन्त: क्रोधसम्मूर्छितीजस:,किन्हींके हाथमें लोहेकी गोली छोड़नेवाले यन्त्र (तोप, बंदूक आदि) थे और कुछ लोगोंने हाथोंमें चक्र, पत्थर एवं भुशुण्डी उठा रखी थी। क्रोधाग्निसे बढ़े हुए तेजवाले वे सब-के-सब श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनको मार डालना चाहते थे

vaiśampāyana uvāca | ayaḥkaṇapacakrāśmabhuśuṇḍyudyatabāhavaḥ | kṛṣṇapārtho jighāṃsantaḥ krodhasammūrchitaujasaḥ ||

કેટલાંકએ લોખંડની ગોળીઓ ફેંકનારા યંત્રો ઉઠાવ્યા હતા, અને કેટલાંકએ ચક્ર, પથ્થર તથા ભૂશુણ્ડી શસ્ત્રો ધારણ કર્યા હતા. ક્રોધથી મત્ત થયેલા તેજ સાથે તેઓ સૌ શ્રીકૃષ્ણ અને પાર્થને મારવા ઇચ્છતા હતા.
