यत् कर्णशल्यप्रमुखै: क्षत्रियैलोकविश्रुतै: नानतं बलवद्धिह्ि धरनुर्वेदपरायणै:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | yat karṇaśalyapramukhaiḥ kṣatriyair lokaviśrutaiḥ nānataṃ balavadbhir hi dhanurvedaparāyaṇaiḥ |
વૈશમ્પાયન બોલ્યા—જે ધનુષને કર્ણ અને શલ્ય વગેરે બળવાન, ધનુર્વેદપરાયણ અને લોકવિખ્યાત ક્ષત્રિયો પણ નમાવી શક્યા નહીં, તેને અસ્ત્રવિદ્યાથી શૂન્ય અને દેહબળે અત્યંત નબળો એવો આ માત્ર બ્રાહ્મણ-બાળક કેવી રીતે પ્રત્યંચા ચઢાવી શકશે?
