अर्जुनस्य लक्ष्यवेधः
Arjuna’s Hitting of the Target at the Svayaṃvara
अनेनैव च विख्यातो नाम्ना लोकेषु सत्तम: । स ऑर्व इति विप्रर्षिरूरुं भित्तता व्यजायत,वे साधुशिरोमणि ब्रह्मर्षि अपनी माताका ऊरु भेदन करके उत्पन्न हुए थे, इसी कारण लोकमें “और्व” नामसे उनकी ख्याति हुई
anenaiva ca vikhyāto nāmnā lokeṣu sattamaḥ | sa aurva iti viprarṣir ūruṁ bhittvā vyajāyata |
વસિષ્ઠે કહ્યું—હે પુરુષશ્રેષ્ઠ! આ જ કારણથી તે લોકોમાં એ નામથી વિખ્યાત થયો. તે બ્રહ્મર્ષિ પોતાની માતાની જાંઘ (ઊરુ) ભેદીને જન્મ્યો હતો; તેથી જગતમાં “ઔર્વ” નામે પ્રસિદ્ધ થયો.
