Shivamurti–Pratishtha Phala: Shivalaya-Nirmana, Kshetra-Mahatmya, Tirtha-Snana, and Mandala-Vidhi
tasmātsarvaprayatnena bhaktyā bhaktaiḥ śivālayam kartavyaṃ sarvayatnena dharmakāmārthasiddhaye
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
It teaches that establishing Śiva’s sacred abode (śivālaya)—the locus for liṅga-pūjā and daily worship—is a high meritorious act that supports the devotee’s righteous life and worldly flourishing (dharma–artha–kāma).
Śiva is implied as Pati—the supreme Lord worthy of consecrated space—whose presence in a sanctified abode becomes accessible to bhaktas; devotion-oriented action is presented as a means to align the pashu (soul) toward the Lord and loosen pasha (bondage).
It highlights temple-building and establishment of a Śiva-abode as a foundational support for pūjā-vidhi (liṅga worship, offerings, and regular observances), an external discipline that complements inner devotion central to Shaiva practice.
