युगधर्मवर्णनम् — चतुर्युग, गुण, धर्मपाद, तथा वार्तोत्पत्ति

प्रादुर्भूतानि चैतानि वृक्षजात्यौषधानि च तेनौषधेन वर्तन्ते प्रजास्त्रेतायुगे तदा

prādurbhūtāni caitāni vṛkṣajātyauṣadhāni ca tenauṣadhena vartante prajāstretāyuge tadā

ત્યારે વૃક્ષજાતિરૂપ અને ઔષધિરૂપ આ બધું પ્રાદુર્ભવ્યું; અને તે ત્રેતાયુગમાં પ્રજાઓ એ જ ઔષધિઓ દ્વારા જીવન નિર્વાહ કરતી હતી.
