लिङ्गानां चैव स्वामित्वाद्व्यङ्कटेशेति संज्ञितः / दैत्यानां च समूहास्तु ज्ञानादिविधुरा यतः / अतो दैत्यसमूहस्तु व्यङ्कटेति प्रकीर्तितः

લિંગો (ચિહ્નો) પર સ્વામિત્વ હોવાથી તેઓ ‘વ્યઙ્કટેશ’ નામે સંજ્ઞિત છે. અને દૈત્યોના સમૂહો જ્ઞાનાદિથી વિહિન હોવાથી, તેથી દૈત્યસમૂહ પણ ‘વ્યઙ્કટ’ તરીકે પ્રકીર્તિત છે.
