ત્યારે ભગવાન હરિ વામન બન્યા—અદિતિ અને દિવ્ય ઋષિ કશ્યપથી જન્મેલા દેવદેવ. હે ખગેન્દ્ર! ઇન્દ્રને આ આપવાની ઇચ્છાથી, તે હેતુસર તેમણે જગતને પાવન કરવા અને ધર્મવ્યવસ્થાને ફરી પ્રવર્તિત કરવા પ્રવૃત્તિ કરી।
