Lord Vishnu (in dialogue with Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Dosha: Kapha
Concept: Yukta-āhāra-auṣadha: disciplined therapeutic preparation and measured intake to restore balance.
Vedantic Theme: Śarīra as sādhana-upakaraṇa; caring for it supports dharma and spiritual practice without identifying the Self with disease.
Application: Prepare medicated ghee with specified ratios; take with milk for jathara/udara-roga under competent guidance and proper dosing.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.170 (Ayurveda/auṣadha-prakaraṇa): ghṛta-kalpanā, udara-śotha cikitsā context
This verse preserves a technical formulation style—fixed ratios, cooking with kalka, and anupāna (milk)—showing how classical medicine is embedded in the text.
It does not address the soul’s journey directly; it emphasizes maintaining the body through regulated remedies, a support for dharmic life and practice.
Treat it as historical/Traditional knowledge; conditions like ascites require medical supervision—do not self-administer strong herbs or urine-based preparations.
