સંખ્યા, વિકલ્પ, પ્રાધાન્ય, બળ અને કાળ-વિશેષના કારણે તે અવસ્થા વિવિધ ભેદોમાં વહેંચાય છે; તેમ જ અહીં આગળ ‘જ્વરના આઠ પ્રકાર’ વર્ણવાશે.
