यदि वीरो महाराज तेनैव त्वां यजे इति । तथेति वरुणेनास्य पुत्रो जातस्तु रोहित: ॥ ९ ॥
yadi vīro mahārāja tenaiva tvāṁ yaje iti tatheti varuṇenāsya putro jātas tu rohitaḥ
હે મહારાજ! હરિશ્ચંદ્રે વરુણને વિનંતી કરી—“જો મને એક વીર પુત્ર જન્મે, તો એ પુત્ર દ્વારા હું તમારી તૃપ્તિ માટે યજ્ઞ કરીશ.” વરુણે કહ્યું—“તથાસ્તુ.” વરુણના વરદાનથી હરિશ્ચંદ્રને રોહિત નામનો પુત્ર થયો.
