Nābhāga’s Inheritance, Śiva’s Verdict, and the Rise of Ambarīṣa—Prelude to Durvāsā’s Offense
tad-abhidravad udvīkṣya sva-prayāsaṁ ca niṣphalam durvāsā dudruve bhīto dikṣu prāṇa-parīpsayā
Because the Lord’s Sudarśana Chakra was pursuing him, and Durvāsā realized his mystic powers and personal efforts could not stop it.
It shows that harming or trying to punish a pure devotee brings swift divine reaction—worldly power, austerity, or mysticism cannot protect the offender.
Rely on humility and respect toward devotees; spiritual pride and aggression backfire, while sincere repentance and seeking forgiveness is the safe path.
