भ्रातरोऽभाङ्क्त किं मह्यं भजाम पितरं तव । त्वां ममार्यास्तताभाङ्क्षुर्मा पुत्रक तदादृथा: ॥ २ ॥
bhrātaro ’bhāṅkta kiṁ mahyaṁ bhajāma pitaraṁ tava tvāṁ mamāryās tatābhāṅkṣur mā putraka tad ādṛthāḥ
નાભાગે પૂછ્યું—“ભાઈઓ, પિતાની સંપત્તિમાં મને શું ભાગ આપ્યો?” મોટા ભાઈઓએ કહ્યું—“તારો ભાગ પિતા જ છે.” ત્યારે નાભાગ પિતાને જઈને બોલ્યો—“પિતાજી, મોટા ભાઈઓએ તમને જ મારો ભાગ કહ્યું છે.” પિતાએ કહ્યું—“પુત્ર, તેમની છેતરપિંડીભરી વાતો પર ભરોસો ન કર; હું તારી મિલકત નથી.”
