Lord Rāmacandra’s Charity, Sītā’s Departure, and the Lord’s Return to Vaikuṇṭha

In Canto 9, Chapter 11, the Bhagavatam states that Sītā gave birth to twin sons who became known as Kuśa and Lava, and that the sage (Vālmīki) performed the proper rites for them.
Because the twins were born in the sage’s āśrama under his protection, Vālmīki carried out the necessary saṁskāras and duties, ensuring they were raised according to dharma.
This verse highlights responsible spiritual and ethical upbringing—marking life milestones with prayer, discipline, and values to cultivate character and devotion.
