Sudāmā Brāhmaṇa Receives Kṛṣṇa’s Mercy
The Gift of Flat Rice
नूनं बतैतन्मम दुर्भगस्य शश्वद्दरिद्रस्य समृद्धिहेतु: । महाविभूतेरवलोकतोऽन्यो नैवोपपद्येत यदूत्तमस्य ॥ ३३ ॥
nūnaṁ bataitan mama durbhagasya śaśvad daridrasya samṛddhi-hetuḥ mahā-vibhūter avalokato ’nyo naivopapadyeta yadūttamasya
સુદામાએ વિચાર્યું—હું તો સદા દરિદ્ર અને દુર્ભાગી રહ્યો છું. આવા અભાગ્યને અચાનક સમૃદ્ધિ મળવી એ યદુકુલશિરોમણિ, પરમ વૈભવવાન શ્રીકૃષ્ણની કૃપાદૃષ્ટિથી જ શક્ય છે; અન્યથા નહીં.
