श्रीशुक उवाच एवं सम्प्रार्थितो विप्र: स्वचिकीर्षितमेव तत् । चकार नामकरणं गूढो रहसि बालयो: ॥ ११ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca evaṁ samprārthito vipraḥ sva-cikīrṣitam eva tat cakāra nāma-karaṇaṁ gūḍho rahasi bālayoḥ
શ્રીશુકદેવે કહ્યું—નંદ મહારાજે આ રીતે વિશેષ વિનંતી કરતાં, જે કાર્ય તે વિપ્ર (ગર્ગમુનિ) પોતે કરવા ઇચ્છતો હતો, તે જ તેણે ગુપ્ત રીતે એકાંતમાં રહી કૃષ્ણ અને બલરામ—બન્ને બાળકોનું નામકરણ કર્યું.
