Balarāma Visits Vraja: Consoling the Gopīs and Dragging the Yamunā
गोपवृद्धांश्च विधिवद् यविष्ठैरभिवन्दित: । यथावयो यथासख्यं यथासम्बन्धमात्मन: ॥ ४ ॥ समुपेत्याथ गोपालान् हास्यहस्तग्रहादिभि: । विश्रान्तं सुखमासीनं पप्रच्छु: पर्युपागता: ॥ ५ ॥ पृष्टाश्चानामयं स्वेषु प्रेमगद्गदया गिरा । कृष्णे कमलपत्राक्षे सन्न्यस्ताखिलराधस: ॥ ६ ॥
gopa-vṛddhāṁś ca vidhi-vad yaviṣṭhair abhivanditaḥ yathā-vayo yathā-sakhyaṁ yathā-sambandham ātmanaḥ
ભગવાન બલરામે ગોપવૃદ્ધોને વિધિપૂર્વક વંદન કર્યું અને કનિષ્ઠોએ પણ આદરથી અભિવાદન કર્યું. વય, સખ్యత અને સંબંધ મુજબ તેમણે સ્મિત, હાથ મિલાવવું વગેરે દ્વારા દરેકને વ્યક્તિગત રીતે મળ્યા. પછી વિશ્રાંતિ લઈને પ્રભુ સુખાસન પર બેઠા; આસપાસ ભેગા થયેલા ગોપો પ્રેમથી ગદગદ વાણીમાં દ્વારકાના પોતાના પ્રિયજનોની કুশળતા પૂછવા લાગ્યા, અને બલરામે પણ ગોપોના કલ્યાણ પૂછ્યું—કારણ તેઓ કમલનયન શ્રીકૃષ્ણમાં સર્વસ્વ અર્પિત હતા।
