Sukta 98
वृकश्चिदस्य वारण उरामथिरा वयुनेषु भूषति । सेमं नः स्तोमं जुजुषाण आ गहीन्द्र प्र चित्रया धिया
vṛ́kaś cid asya vāraṇá urā́mathirā́ vayúneṣu bhūṣati | sémáṃ naḥ stómaṃ jujuṣāṇá ā́ gahī́ndra prá citráyā dhiyā́
Even the wolf of him is a repeller; the strong-stirrers shine in their devices. Accepting this our hymn of praise, come hither, O Indra, with brilliant thought.
તેનો વરુણ (વારણ)—અટકાવનાર—તો વરુક (વાઘ/ભેડિયો) પણ છે; બળવાન પ્રેરકો પોતાના ઉપાયોમાં તેજે ચમકે છે. આ અમારો સ્તોત્ર સ્વીકારીને, હે ઇન્દ્ર, ચિત્ર (પ્રકાશમય) ધિયા સાથે અહીં આવો.
