Sukta 55
या ते वसोर्वात इषुः सा त एषा तया नो मृड । रायस्पोषेण समिषा मदन्तो मा ते अग्ने प्रतिवेशा रिषाम
yā́ te vásor vā́te íṣuḥ sā́ ta eṣā́ táyā no mṛḍa | rāyas-poṣéṇa sám-iṣā mádanto mā́ te agne práti-veśā ríṣāma
What arrow of thine, O beneficent one, is in the wind—this is that (same); with it be gracious unto us. Rejoicing with wealth and thriving, with gathered nourishment, O Agni, let not thy successive entrants do us harm.
હે વસુ (ઉપકારક), પવનમાં રહેલી તારી જે ઇષુ (તીર-શક્તિ) છે—એ જ આ છે; એ જ દ્વારા અમારે પર કૃપા કર. ધન-પુષ્ટિથી અને સંચિત પોષણ (સમિષા)થી આનંદિત થઈને, હે અગ્નિ, તારા પ્રતિ-વેશ (ક્રમશઃ આવનારા અતિથિ/પ્રવેશક) અમને હાનિ ન કરે.
