Sukta 8
येत आसीद् भूमिः पूर्वा यामद्धातय इद् विदुः । यो वै तां विद्यान्नामथा स मन्येत पुराणवित्
yát āsī́d bhū́miḥ pū́rvā yā́m addhātáya íd vidúḥ | yó vái tā́ṃ vidyā́n nā́mā́thā sá manyeta purāṇavít |
That Earth which first of all existed, which the primal ordainers verily have known—whoso should know her by her name, he thereupon would deem himself a knower of the ancient lore.
જે પૃથ્વી સર્વપ્રથમ અસ્તિત્વમાં હતી—જેનાં વિષે પ્રાચીન ધાતાઓ (આદિ-વિધાતાઓ) નિશ્ચયે જાણે છે—જે કોઈ તેને તેના નામથી જાણે, તે તરત જ પોતાને પુરાતન વિદ્યાનો જાણકાર માને.
