दण्डमित्रयोस्तु साधारणे कार्ये सारतः स्वयुद्धदेशकाललाभाद्विशेषः ॥ कZ_०८.१.५७ ॥

Transliteration

daṇḍa-mitrayos tu sādhāraṇe kārye sārataḥ sva-yuddha-deśa-kāla-lābhād viśeṣaḥ

Translation

પરંતુ જ્યારે દંડ અને મિત્ર એક જ સામાન્ય કાર્યમાં સહાયક બને, ત્યારે તેમની કિંમતનો ફરક મૂળતઃ પોતાની યુદ્ધક્ષમતા, દેશ (ભૂપ્રદેશ), કાળ (સમય) અને લાભ (અપેક્ષિત પ્રાપ્તી) પરથી નક્કી થાય છે.
