शिवपूजाकथनम् (Śiva-pūjā-kathana) — The Exposition of Śiva Worship
પૂર્વ સૂર્યપૂજા-પ્રકરણ પૂર્ણ થયા પછી આ અધ્યાયમાં ઈશ્વર શિવપૂજાનો સુવ્યવસ્થિત ક્રમ ઉપદેશે છે. આચમન, પ્રણવ-સંસ્કૃત અર્ઘ્ય, અસ્ત્રાંબુથી દ્વારપ્રોક્ષણ અને પ્રવેશરક્ષકો તથા સહદેવતાઓની પૂજા (ગણ, સરસ્વતી, લક્ષ્મી; નંદી, ગંગા; મહાકાલ, યમુના) વર્ણવાય છે. સાધક એડીના પ્રહાર વગેરે દેહક્રિયાઓ સાથે જમણા પગથી પ્રવેશ કરે, ડાબા દ્વારસ્તંભનો આધાર લે; ઉદુંબર સ્તંભ પર અસ્ત્રરક્ષા સ્થાપી મધ્યમાં વાસ્તુ-અધિપતિ બ્રહ્માની પૂજા કરે છે. પછી કલશાદિ સામગ્રીની ગોઠવણી, ભૂતશુદ્ધિ, પ્રાણાયામ, ગ્રંથિભેદ, દ્વાદશાંત અને બિંદુધ્યાન; મંડલભાવના અને બીજમંત્રોથી પંચતત્ત્વ (પૃથ્વી-જળ-અગ્નિ-વાયુ-આકાશ) શુદ્ધ કરી હૃદયપીઠ સ્થાપે છે. સકલીકરણ, અસ્ત્રપરિધિ, શક્તિજાળ, મહામુદ્રા પછી હૃદયકમળમાં શિવની અંતઃપૂજા, અર્ઘ્ય-ઉપકરણ તૈયારી અને લિંગશુદ્ધિ આવે છે. પંચવક્ત્ર દશભુજ શિવધ્યાન, મૂળ/શિરઃ/શિખા/કવચ/અસ્ત્ર ન્યાસ, ઉપચારક્રમ અને ક્રમશઃ દ્રવ્યો વડે અભિષેક; અંતે આરતી, ભોગપૂજા, જપાહુતિ, સ્તોત્ર, પ્રદક્ષિણા, અષ્ટમૂર્તિ શિવને અષ્ટાંગ નમસ્કાર તથા અગ્નિ વગેરે રૂપોમાં ધ્યાન સાથે સતત પૂજાનો ઉપદેશ છે.
