Rudrākṣa Māhātmya — The Greatness of Rudraksha
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It frames mantra as a revealed, orderly path: the many Rudra-aspects are understood through Śiva’s faces, and their mantras are to be received sequentially with devotion—linking form (saguna) to liberation-oriented practice.
By grounding the Rudra-divisions in Śiva’s “faces,” the verse supports saguna contemplation—approaching the one Lord through specific aspects—often expressed in Linga-worship where mantra and form together stabilize devotion and inner focus.
Hearing and reciting the appropriate Rudra-mantras in proper sequence (kramāt) with prīti (devotional intent), as a disciplined japa/śravaṇa practice aligned to Śaiva worship.
