The Supreme Lord as the Uncaused Cause
Type: stotra
Cosmic Event: Doctrinal summit: ekatva (oneness) of Bhagavān Rudra asserted—no second principle rivaling his lordship.
It asserts Rudra (Śiva) as the sole Supreme Reality—Pati, the Lord of all—establishing that ultimate refuge and liberation are attained by turning to Him alone, not to competing “second” absolutes.
Though Śiva is ultimately one without a second, devotees approach Him through Saguna forms—especially the Śiva-liṅga—as a focused symbol of the One Lord who pervades and transcends all names and forms.
Single-pointed devotion (ekāgratā) to Rudra is implied—practically expressed through japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and steady contemplation of Śiva as the one Supreme Pati.
