Durgama’s Seizure of the Vedas and the Gods’ Refuge in Yogamāyā (दुर्गमकृतवेदनाशः—योगमायाशरणगमनम्)

It affirms Umā (Devī) as Jagadyoni—the cosmic source—showing that even the Devas attain auspiciousness through humble prostration (praṇāma) to Shakti, the inseparable power of Shiva, and then return to their ordained duties.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, Saguna worship is complete when Shiva is honored together with Shakti; reverence to Umā complements Linga-worship by acknowledging the manifest, compassionate power through which Shiva’s grace operates in the world.
Practice reverential praṇāma and devotional remembrance of Umā-Shiva; as a simple daily discipline, offer salutations before puja, recite the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), and cultivate humility as the Devas do.
