अथातश्शुभतारासु ताराधिपवराननः । केन्द्रे गुरौ शुभे लग्ने सुग्रहेषु युगेषु च
athātaśśubhatārāsu tārādhipavarānanaḥ | kendre gurau śubhe lagne sugraheṣu yugeṣu ca
Or donc—lorsque les nakṣatra sont de bon augure, lorsque la Lune, seigneur des astres, est brillante et favorable, lorsque Jupiter (Guru) occupe un centre bénéfique, lorsque l’ascendant est propice et lorsque les planètes et leurs conjonctions sont favorables—c’est alors qu’il convient d’entreprendre le rite sacré śaiva.

It teaches that Shaiva worship is strengthened when performed with purity and favorable conditions, aligning outer time (muhūrta) with inner devotion—so the mind becomes steady in Shiva-bhakti and receptive to grace.
By recommending auspicious astrological factors for beginning the rite, it supports orderly, scripture-aligned worship of Saguna Shiva through the Linga—where disciplined observance helps focus the devotee on Shiva as Pati, the bestower of liberation.
It implies choosing a favorable muhurta for Shiva-puja—then performing Linga-abhisheka with mantra-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), along with customary Shaiva observances such as bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrāksha where appropriate.
