परलोकस्त्वयं लोको जीयते भार्य या द्वयम् । देवपित्रतिथीज्यादि नाभार्यः कर्म चार्हति
paralokastvayaṃ loko jīyate bhārya yā dvayam | devapitratithījyādi nābhāryaḥ karma cārhati
Ce monde et l’au-delà sont tous deux soutenus par l’épouse. Sans épouse, nul n’est apte à accomplir comme il se doit les rites de culte envers les dieux, les ancêtres (pitṛ), les hôtes, et les devoirs sacrés qui s’y rattachent.

Linga-worship and Saguna Shiva devotion are traditionally embedded in daily dharmic duties; the verse highlights the household framework through which regular pūjā, hospitality, and ancestral offerings are properly sustained.
It points to steady nitya-karmas—deva-pūjā, pitṛ-tarpaṇa, and atithi-sevā—performed with Shiva-bhakti; these may be accompanied by Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as the inner discipline.
