अग्निं हिन्वन्तु नो धियः सप्तिमाशुमिवाजिषु तेन जेष्म धनंधनम्
Que nos pensées dévotes poussent Agni, tel un char aux coursiers rapides dans les joutes; par lui, puissions-nous gagner richesse sur richesse.

यया गा आकरामहै सेनयाग्ने तवोत्या तां नो हिन्व मघत्तये
Par ce secours qui est tien, ô Agni, tel une armée, grâce auquel nous pouvons gagner le bétail—pousse-le vers nous, pour la largesse.
Mantra 3
आग्ने स्थूरं रयिं भर पृथुं गोमन्तमश्विनम् अङ्धि खं वर्त्तया पविम्
Ô Agni, apporte une richesse solide, vaste, riche en bétail, riche en chevaux; allume (ta puissance), mets en mouvement le tranchant aigu qui frappe à travers l’étendue.

अग्ने नक्षत्रमजरमा सूर्यं रोहयो दिवि दधज्ज्योतिर्जनेभ्यः
Ô Agni, tel un astre impérissable tu élèves le Soleil au ciel ; tu établis la lumière pour les hommes.

अग्ने केतुर्विशामसि प्रेष्ठः श्रेष्ठ उपस्थसत् बोधा स्तोत्रे वयो दधत्
Ô Agni, tu es le signe (ketu) des peuples, le plus aimé, le plus excellent, demeurant tout près ; sois attentif au chant de louange, accordant vigueur et force vitale.
