Sukta 5.42
प्रति मे स्तोममदितिर्जगृभ्यात्सूनुं न माता हृद्यं सुशेवम् । ब्रह्म प्रियं देवहितं यदस्त्यहं मित्रे वरुणे यन्मयोभु ॥
práti me stómaṃ áditiḥ jagṛbhyāt sūnúṃ na mātā hṛ́dyaṃ suśévam | bráhma priyáṃ deváhitaṃ yád asty aháṃ mitré váruṇe yán mayobhú ||
Qu’Aditi accueille mon hymne comme une mère son fils bien-aimé — cher au cœur et riche de bon refuge. Ce qu’il y a en moi de la Parole chérie, établie par les dieux, je l’offre à Mitra et Varuṇa, faiseurs de béatitude.
